As I continue to add paintings to my series on Belted Galloways, spring seems right around the corner, as does the next art season. I'm preparing for the many exhibits lined up for 2012, particularly the reopening of the Old Post Office Gallery here in Georgetown in May, and the Sebascodegan Gallery on Bailey Island in June.

Over the winter, I've added to my own art collection with beautiful paintings by two talented friends: Evelyn Dunphy, a water colorist who is known particularly for her "moody" paintings of Baxter State Park, and Rick Dickinson, whose work has been inspired by the Cape Cod Impressionist School.
