The Old Post Office Gallery
The Old Post Office (OPO) Gallery in Georgetown, Maine, features the paintings of five local artists--Barbara Bean, Cory Hart, Letty Chiew Husson, Susan Zimmerman and myself. Artists work in a variety of media, including oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolor, and pen and ink, and mixed media.
In 2012 the gallery will be open from May 25 (Memorial Day weekend) through September 3 (Labor Day weekend). Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.
In addition to the five primary artists, the OPO features the lithographs of internationally recognized artist Dahlov Ipcar. On a three-week rotating schedule, five other guest artists have been invited to show their work this summer: oil painter Richard Hasenfus, photographer Diann Longstreet, oil painter Stuart Ross, pastelist Annie Merrill, and oil painter Jim Coombs. In addition, the gallery will display Denise Rankin's Shaker boxes and trays, Barbara Bean's assemblages, and Susan Atwater's hand-painted silk scarves.
The Old Post Office Gallery is located at 833 Five Islands Road (Rte 127 South) just after the Georgetown town center.
Here is an example of my oil paintings on display at the OPO during an earlier season.
