The Old Post Office Gallery
The Old Post Office (OPO) Gallery in Georgetown, Maine, features the paintings of five local artists--Barbara Bean, Cory Hart, Letty Chiew Husson, Susan Zimmerman and myself. Artists work in a variety of media, including oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolor, and pen and ink.
In 2011 the gallery will be open from May 21 through September 11. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.
In addition to the five primary artists, the OPO features the lithographs of internationally recognized artist Dahlov Ipcar; the wood carvings of Bath artist Wayne Robbins; and the pastels of Georgetown artist Tracy Panzani.
On a three-week rotating schedule, five other guest artists have been invited to show their work this summer: oil painter Richard Hasenfus, photographer Xulia Fessendon, photographer Cathy Yeo, oil and acrylics painter Denise Rankin, and photographer Mary Do. Denise Rankin's Shaker boxes will also be on display.
The Old Post Office Gallery is located at 833 Five Islands Road (Rte 127 South) just after the Georgetown town center.
Here is an example of my oil paintings on display at the OPO during the 2010 season.
